At Positive Reframe, LLC, I believe in giving back to the community by offering free psychoeducation presentations on mental health and wellness. These sessions provide practical tools, reduce stigma, and promote understanding of important topics such as emotional regulation, stress management, and healthy relationships. Additional topics are available and can be tailored to the needs of your organization, school, or group.
Emotional Intelligence
Emotional intelligence (EI) is the ability to recognize, understand, and manage your own emotions, as well as to perceive and respond effectively to the emotions of others. Strong EI helps improve communication, strengthen relationships, reduce conflict, and enhance decision-making. By developing emotional intelligence, individuals can navigate challenges with empathy, resilience, and self-awareness.
Bullying
Bullying is repeated, intentional behavior meant to harm, intimidate, or control another person. It can be physical, verbal, social, or take place online (cyberbullying). Bullying impacts emotional well-being, self-esteem, and safety. Addressing bullying involves speaking up, setting boundaries, fostering empathy, and creating supportive environments where respect is the norm.
Mental Health Literacy
Mental health literacy is the knowledge and understanding that help people recognize, manage, and prevent mental health challenges. It includes knowing the signs of common conditions, understanding how to seek help, and reducing stigma. Building mental health literacy empowers individuals to make informed choices, support others, and promote overall well-being.
Conflict Resolution
Conflict resolution is the process of addressing disagreements in a healthy, respectful way. It involves listening, understanding different perspectives, and working toward solutions that meet everyone’s needs. Strong conflict resolution skills help maintain trust, strengthen relationships, and reduce stress.
Wellness Triangle
The wellness triangle represents three key areas of health: physical, mental/emotional, and social well-being. Each side supports the others, creating balance and stability. When one area is neglected, the whole triangle is affected. Focusing on all three helps promote resilience, life satisfaction, and overall health.
Growth Mindset
A growth mindset is the belief that abilities and intelligence can be developed through effort, learning, and perseverance. It encourages embracing challenges, viewing mistakes as opportunities, and valuing progress over perfection. Cultivating a growth mindset builds resilience, motivation, and a lifelong love of learning.
